AMUSEDOM in collaboration with the BURBANK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is happy to introduce a comic book and graphic novel competition.

This contest is presented in the context of a Film Festival- this is a good opportunity for all of you to put your work in front of Producers, Directors and other industry professionals. Winners will be announced on Saturday September 8th at The AMC 6 Theaters in Downtown Burbank. Winning entries will be shown ON THE BIG SCREEN during the Film Festival.

Best Comic Book: Best overall graphic representation of story, considering look and feel, editing, flow, and overall artistic and creative merit.

Best Graphic Novel: Best overall graphic representation of story, considering look and feel, editing, flow, and overall artistic and creative merit.

Best Graphic Novel Comic Book Cover: Best overall composition, color, inking, layout which represents the subject and theme of the story, including time, place, genre and setting which has the impact and visceral communication needed to entice the potential reader

DEADLINE: The submission deadline is Friday August 31st 2012.

RULES & INSTRUCTIONS
Comic Book (online): Your comic book must be at least 20 pages and not more than 40 pages in length, and must be complete, including cover and pages, with final graphics and text.

Graphic Novel (online): Your graphic novel must be at least 40 pages in length, and must be complete, including cover and pages, with final graphics and text.

Upload your entire Comic Book or Graphic Novel digitally to www.Amusedom.com. Use the upload content tabs and upload your pages as individual jpg's at a 72 dpi resolution (no pdf's nor 300 dpi print resolutions please). Save your files as jpg's at a level 8-high quality in Photoshop. Pages should be identical in size and we recommend a 1600 pixels maximum width or hight per page (whatever the aspect ratio). Don't forget to name / number the pages in alpha-numerical order for easier upload.

Make sure you give the work a title and a short description in the submission page. Write the title in the title box and then add the five digit reservation ID number that you’ll get via email after paying the entry fee. Example: "End of the World" (ID:12345). To enter the contest you must register your entry with the Festival. To upload files you must register with Amusedom (it’s free). If you're already a registerd user, use the upload button bellow.
