JAVIER TRUJILLO (1962, Madrid) has been always drawing. At the age of 17 he joined D, Amadeo Roca’s drawing and painting studio. Next year he studied at Villalar studio, where he developed and improved his painting and staining techniques. In 1983 he started to works as an advertising illustrator at M.V.F.& Asociados, developing the airbrush technique there. Since 1988 he has set up his own studio as an illustrator and a freelance artist, and he has also collaborated with designing studios, advertising agencies and also in house designing publications. In 2005 his career took a turn and he started working into the comic sphere. In 2006 he was nominated with the newcomer award at Expocomic in Madrid for his work on The Myths of Asturdeva (Los Mitos de Asturdeva). The same year he met Paul Naschy, and began a good and productive artistic working relationship, in which Waldemar Daninsky, The Return of the Werewolf (El Retorno del Hombre Lobo) was created. This is a comic adaptation from the script of the film it is named after, which was written, directed and starred by Naschy in 1980. Also in 2007 Trujillo collaborated again with Paul Naschy in his new film, Empusa, making the promotional poster and other artistic materials for the film. That year in December, he won the prize “Best Spanish artwork at Expocómic 2007″ in Madrid for Waldemar Daninsky, The Return of the Werewolf (El Retorno del Hombre Lobo). In March 2008 he published the third Asturdeva’s Myths instalment, the one that closes the trilogy the story is based on. In August he won ImaginaMálaga Best AuthorPrize for Waldemar Daninsky, The Return of the Werewolf (El Retorno del Hombre Lobo). In November 2008 Waldemar Daninsky – The origin of the curse was published, this is the first instalment of The Beast and the Magic Sword based on the script of the movie of the same title which was written, directed and starred by Paul Naschy in Japan in 1982. During 2009 he collaborated as an illustrator for Scifiworld magazine, drawing covers about Fantastic films icons. In September of the same year, together again with Paul Naschy, he made the illustrations for the first Naschy illustrated novel about one of his mythical characters: Alaric de Marnac, published by Scifiworld. In 2010 through the independent digital platform Amusedom.com he published the illustrated story trilogy Metaphysic, and in 2011 he made a new adaptation of the Naschy universe, putting into comic the movie Panic Beats and publishing it again independently on digital format on Amusedom.com, as bi-monthly issues.

JAVIER TRUJILLO (1962, Madrid) Dibuja desde siempre. A los dieciséis años ingresa en el taller de dibujo y pintura de D. Amadeo Roca. Al año siguiente cursa estudios en el taller Villalar, donde desarrolla y perfecciona técnicas de mancha y pintura. En 1983 comienza su actividad como ilustrador publicitario en M.V.F. & Asociados, desarrollando una extensa actividad con el aerógrafo. A partir de 1988 se instala en su propio estudio como ilustrador freelance, colaborando con estudios de diseño, agencias de publicidad y en el ámbito editorial. En 2005 su trabajo da un giro y se orienta hacia el cómic. En 2006 es nominado como autor revelación en Expocómic de Madrid por su trabajo en “Los Mitos de Asturdeva”. Ese mismo año conoce a Paul Naschy, comenzando una estrecha y fructífera colaboración artística, fruto de la cual nace “Waldemar Daninsky – El retorno del hombre lobo”, versión adaptada al cómic de la película del mismo nombre, escrita, dirigida y protagonizada por el propio Naschy en 1980. En 2007 colabora con Paul Naschy en su nueva película, “Empusa”, realizando el cartel promocional y otros materiales artísticos para el filme. En diciembre de ese mismo año recibe el premio a la “Mejor obra española Expocómic 2007” en Madrid por “Waldemar Daninsky – El retorno del hombre lobo”. En marzo de 2008 publica la tercera entrega de la saga “Los Mitos de Asturdeva”, con Aleta ediciones, cerrando así la trilogía. En Agosto recibe el “Premio ImaginaMálaga al mejor autor” por “Waldemar Daninsky – El retorno del hombre lobo”. En noviembre de 2008 publica con Dolmen editorial “Waldemar Daninsky – El origen de la maldición” primera parte del guión de la película “La bestia y la espada mágica” rodada por Paul Naschy en Japón en 1982. En 2009 colabora como ilustrador con la revista SCIFIWORLD, realizando una serie de portadas sobre iconos del cine fantástico y en septiembre de ese mismo año vuelve a hacer tamden con Paul Naschy en una serie de ilustraciones para la primera novela del director de cine sobre uno de sus personajes míticos “Alaric de Marnac” editada bajo el sello SCIFIWORLD. En 2010 realiza y publica a través de la plataforma digital independiente Amusedom.com la trilogía de relatos ilustrados Metaphysic, y en 2011 realiza una nueva versión del universo Naschy trasladando el film "Latidos de Pànico" al cómic y publicándolo otra vez de forma independiente en formato digital en Amusedom.com, en forma de episodios bimensuales.
